Hexion Employees Give Back to The Community

Throughout the past year, Hexion’s Oilfield Technology Group (OTG) has continued to volunteer and give back to the community by partnering with various organizations. As a global leader in the industry, helping communities and making a positive difference is something we strongly value.

In Houston, our team paired with Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center and hosted blood drives to help save lives throughout our community. On August 17th, Houston OTG hosted their first blood drive and donated a total of 22 units of blood. On December 8th, their second blood drive was also hosted at the Houston OTG office and raised 8 units of blood. Both blood drives were a success and we will continue to host them in order to help save lives.

In October, a group of Houston OTG runners participated in the 7th annual Capital to Coast Relay, which benefits the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation. The foundation honors those who have served our country by providing experiences that strengthen military and first responder marriages and families.

In November, OTG paired with the Salvation Army to have an Angel Tree, which provides Christmas gifts for underprivileged children throughout our community. There were 20 angels who were given the gifts that were from their wish list.

The employees at Hexion value giving back to their communities and making a positive difference. By volunteering their time and hosting events, lives have been saved, military and first responders families have become stronger, and underprivileged children have gifts for the holidays. We sincerely appreciate our local fire departments, EMS, and veterans and will continue outreach programs to show our appreciation for all first responders along with public service men and women.
